World's Deadliest Spider Found in Grocery Store

Brazilian Wandering Spider Discovered in Produce Section

The deadliest spider known to man was found in the produce section at a grocery store in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The Brazilian Wandering Spider was found with bananas in a Whole Foods Store by an employee who captured the spider in a container. The bananas came from a supplier in Honduras. The Brazilian Wandering Spider kills more humans each year than any other spider. The spider was given to the director of the Animal Facilities at the University of Tulsa. 1 bite from one of these things can kill a person in as little as 25 minutes! Produce is checked by grocery stores before they sell it to customers for this very reason. Spiders are often found, but this type is uncommon in USA. Wow, I'm glad I don't have that job! Creepy!
